Alexander Cran

Alexander W. Cran, 74 of Bellaire died on Sunday, January 21, 2018 due to complications of Parkinson’s disease.

He was born on September 13, 1943 in Belliare, son of the late Alexander and Helen Madeline (Hierlihy) Cran.

He was a third generation building contractor owning Alex Cran Construction Company for 40 years and was a member of Hope Lutheran Church.

Alexander was a loving father, grandfather and brother. He was proud of his family and worked hard. He leaves behind his wife Linda of 54 years, 2 children, William (Lisa) Cran and Jill (Mark) Harris both born on his birthday; grandchildren, Travis Parrott, Madeleine, Brendan, Christian and Cameron Harris; sister, Jean (DuWayne) Penfold; brother, John (Karen) Cran; sisters-in-law, Darlene (Fred) Hunt and Judy Gregory; brother-in-law, David (Carol) Gregory and numerous nieces and nephews.

Alex was preceded in death by his infant son, Jason A. Cran and brother Douglas Cran.

Christian services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at Hope Lutheran Church, 2680 M-88 Hwy, Bellaire with visitation from 10:00 a.m. until time of services with Father Wade Seaver officiating. Visitation will also be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, January 26, 2018 at the Bellaire Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes. Interment will take place at Lakeview Cemetery in Bellaire in the spring of 2018. Memorial contributions may be made to Help From My Friends at 3820 Ritt Road, Bellaire, MI 49615.
