Alex Williams

Alex Reese Williams, 21, of Dexter, passed away on June 20, 2015. He was born March 2, 1994, in Russia and came to America, being adopted July 4, 2000. He graduated from Dexter High School in 2012, and had a deep Christian faith, attending Dexter United Methodist Church. Alex began playing soccer at age six and it was one of his greatest passions. Whether it was playing on the Dexter Varsity high school team or just playing for fun with our family he played to win giving it his all. He was also known for trying his best to make friends and family laugh. He loved family games, bowling, movie night, airsoft, and disc golf. He will be remembered for his big heart and fun, exuberant personality. Surviving Alex are his parents and forever mother and father, Ben and Kym Williams, his siblings Galya Williams, Morgan (Drew) Hermann, Bailey Williams, Riley Williams, uncle Glynn and aunt Leslie Gutzeit, cousin Scott Gutzeit, Cliff, Beth, Laura, Cara Taylor, and many other family members. He was preceded in death by his first adoptive mother Debra Gutzeit Traskos in 2007 and grandmother, Sophia "Bubba" Gutzeit in 2014. A private family service will take place and interment will follow in Lakeview Cemetery, Bellaire.
