Alden Stafford

Alden W. Stafford,  84, of Gaylord, passed away on August 21, 2018 at Medilodge of Gaylord.

Alden was born on December 19, 1933, in Hannibal, MO, the son of Herman and Mildred (Armour) Stafford.

Alden was a technician for Ball Aerospace in Boulder CO, for many years and also owned and operated his own company.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting, woodworking and could often be found tinkering in his garage.

He is survived by 3 children, Alden (Bonnie) Stafford of Loveland, CO, Randy (Marlene) Stafford of Windsor, CO, Amy (Dave) LaBute of Ellsworth, a brother, Glenn (Kathy) Stafford of SD, Kitty (Jay) Howlett of AZ, 10 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his wife Beverly Stafford, a brother Jerry Lee Stafford, a sister Debbie Decker as well as his parents.

Alden will be buried alongside his wife Beverly in Greenview Memorial Gardens in East Moline, IL.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.

Arrangements are being handled by the Central Lake Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.
