Alberta Bonser

ALBERTA "RUTH" BONSER, 90, of Bellaire, formerly of Alba, went home to be with her Lord on April 17, 2009 at Meadow Brook Medical Care Facility. Ruth was born on November 11, 1918 to Harry Ernest and Rosa (Hoornstra) Stovel. Ruth is survived by her daughters, Carolynn Wicht of Alba, Rosalee Markey of Waterford, her sons, Ernest Bonser of Warren, Ronald (Sandra) Bonser of Duncanville, TX., a brother Ivan (Helen) Stovel of Frasier, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon "Roy" Bonser, and her two sisters, Stella Moore, Florence Wiselogel-Banks as well as her parents. Ruth enjoyed sewing, quilting, crafting and writing. Highlights later in her life also included traveling, and ministering within the United Methodist Church. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, April 20, 2009 at Eleven a.m. at the Mancelona United Methodist Church. Rev. Steve Weinberger will officiate. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Mancelona. Visitation will take place on Sunday, April 19 from 6-8 p.m. at the Mancelona Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.
