Albert Houghton

Albert W. Houghton, 72, of Charlevoix, passed away November 13, 2019 at his home.

Albert was born June 8, 1947 in Charlevoix, Michigan, to Albert Stanley Houghton and Jenny (Nowland) Houghton.

Albert was known as a selfless man to all, with family gatherings being the most important to him.  A lifelong resident of Charlevoix, he enjoyed hunting, farming, and going on car rides, and was a proud Veteran of the United States Army.

Albert was preceded in death by his wife, Elaine Houghton, daughter Jamie Houghton and brother Bob Houghton.  Surviving him are four children, Jessica Houghton of Indiana, Roger Houghton of Cheboygan, Michigan, Randy (Jennifer) Houghton of Charlevoix, Michigan, and Ryan (Kim) Houghton, of Charlevoix, Michigan.  Also surviving him are two sisters, Bertha Potter of Charlevoix, Michigan and Bernice of Michigan, along with ten grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2019 at 12:00 noon, at the Hayes Township Hall, 9195 Old US 31 Hwy N, Charlevoix, MI 49720.
