Adrian Russell

ADRIAN B. RUSSELL, 80, of Marcellus, formerly of Jackson, Three Rivers and Echo Township, died on Sun., March 1, 2009 at his home. Adrian was born on July 17, 1928 in East Jordan, the son of Charles and Grace (Murray) Russell. Adrian was a 1946 graduate of Central Lake High School then he went on to serve his country in the United States Army during World War II. He moved from Echo Township to Jackson in 1954 where he resided until moving to Three Rivers in 1971. He enjoyed deer hunting and fishing. In 1951 he married Roxanne "Roxy" Prevost who preceded him in death in 1998. Also preceding him in death were 8 siblings, Novella, Buck, Kenneth, Ivan, Ron, Mary, Keith and Audrey and his parents. He is survived by 1 son, Charles (Lisa) Russell of Marcellus, 3 daughters, Dayna (Gary) Dennis of Jackson, Sara (Ray) Hendricks of Michigan Center, and Jan (Patrick) Harden of East Jordan. Also surviving are a brother Duane Russell of Carson City, CA., 11 grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren, 9 great-great grandchildren, 8 step-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held on Saturday, March 7, 2009 at the Central Lake Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes. Pastor Janie Beasley officiated. Interment will take place in the spring at Dunsmore Cemetery, Echo Township. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of Southwest Michigan.
