Ada Jean Dohm, 90, of Charlevoix, went to her Heavenly home on July 20, 2016, surrounded by her family. She was born November 12, 1925, in Blissfield, Mich., to Harlow and Mabel (Traxler) Bettis. Jean grew up in Blissfield and moved to Pioneer, Ohio when she was a senior in high school. It was there she met Russel F. Dohm, and they were married May 22, 1943, in Angola, Ind. They moved to Charlevoix in 1950. Jean worked a short time for Paul Reed (Weathershield), and helped Russ with his egg business, (RUS-N-US). After retiring, they made their home in Englewood, Fla., where they had wintered for several years. They returned to Charlevoix in 2004, and Russ preceded Jean in death on March 8, 2006.

Jean was a member of the VFW Auxiliary, and the United Methodist Church. She enjoyed gardening, knitting and crocheting, and her family.

Jean is survived by her children, William (Jan) Dohm, Barbara (Gary) Miller, Jerry Dohm all of Charlevoix; grandchildren, William Dohm, Jr., Kathy Noirot, Michael Dohm, Marcus Dohm, Elizabeth Stevens, Ben Babb, Jessica Arnold, Gary Miller, Josh Dohm; nineteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; sister, Ruth Davis of Fort Pierce, Fla.; sisters-in-law, Martha Lowe of Toledo, Oh., Isabelle Seidel of Charlevoix, Ann Repp of Fayette, Oh.

Jean was preceded in death by her grandson, Matthew Miller.

A memorial graveside service at Brookside Cemetery will be announced later this year.
