Sylvia Tanner

TANNERa�"Sylvia V. Tanner, age 87, of Central Lake, formerly of Jenison and Marshall passed away at the home of her daughter and son-in-law in Central Lake, on Monday, August 24,2009. She was born Sylvia DePalma in New York City on November 18, 1921. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lucius; daughter, Joyce McKenzie; and two sisters and four brothers. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Barbara Atkins (Clifford Jump); son-in-law Robert McKenzie; and precious grandsons, Michael, Stephen and Patrick McKenzie; sister-in-law, Elaine DePalma. After raising her daughters, she worked many years for Marshall Savings and Loan. A family Memorial Mass will be celebrated Friday, August 28, 2009, at Eleven a.m., at St. Pius X Catholic Church (3937 Wilson Ave. SW, Grandville). The family will meet with relatives and friends one hour prior to the service.
