Fern L. Oliver, 96 of Central Lake died peacefully Mon. Oct. 9, 2017 surrounded by her family. She was born Apr. 24, 1921 in East Jordan the daughter of Walter and Violet (Howell) Bolser.
Fern was an active member of the Senior Center. She enjoyed playing cards, knitting, crocheting, crafts, painting, and working in her flower garden. She also enjoyed spending time with her family.
Surviving Fern are her sons Wayne (Sharon) Oliver of Central Lake and Allen (Sandy) Oliver of Davison, her brothers Bruce (Shirley) Bolser of Scottsville, and Dale (Carla) Bolser of East Jordan, sisters Joan Andrews of W. Virginia, Arlene Barber of Boyne City, grandchildren Denise (John) Slough of Central Lake, Dan (Dana) Oliver of Birmingham, Renee (Mark) Dailey of Linden, and Eric (Maricela) Oliver of Grand Blanc, 8 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Howard Oliver, sister Bernice Oliver, brother Chester Bolser and her parents.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 12, at 11 a.m. at the Grace Community Church with Pastor Max Tracey officiating. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Memorial donations can be made to the Central Lake Senior Center, c/o Commission on Aging, PO BOX 614, Bellaire, MI 49615.
